【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstestingofrubberinsulatingsheetingforuseasacoveringfortheprotectionofworkersfromaccidentalcontactwithliveelectricalconductors,apparatus,orcircuits.1.2Twotypesofsheeting,differinginchemicalandphysicalcharacteristics,areprovidedandaredesignatedasTypeI,non-resistanttoozoneandTypeII,resistanttoozone.1.3Sixclassesofsheeting,differinginelectricalprotectioncharacteristicsareprovidedanddesignatedasClass00,Class0,Class1,Class2,Class3,Class4.1.4Twostylesofsheeting,differinginconstructioncharacteristics,areprovidedandaredesignatedasStyleAandStyleB.1.5Thefollowsafetyhazardscaveatappliesonlytothetestmethodportion,Sections17-19,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.Note18212;RubberInsulatingSheetingshouldremainflexibleforusethroughnormaltemperatureranges.Note28212;Rubberasusedinthisspecificationisagenerictermthatincludeselastomersandelastomericcompounds,regardlessoforigin.
