【摘要】:Whenaporcelainenamelisfirstsubjectedtoabrasionofthetypeinvolvedinthesetests,therateofwearorattritionisrelativelylow.Astheenamelissubjectedtocontinuedabrasion,therateofwearincreasesuntilitreachesasteadyvalue.Thereafter,therateofwearremainsalmostconstantuntiltheenamelispenetratedandtheunderlyinggroundcoatormetalexposed.Theabrasionthatoccursduringtheperiodofincreasingrate-of-weightlossisdefinedassurfaceabrasionandresultsinreducedglossandcleanabilitywithhigh-glossenamelsandamodificationofcolor,appearance,orsurfacetexture,orcombinationthereofwithlow-glossenamels.Theabrasionthatoccursduringtheperiodofsteadyrate-of-weightlossisdefinedassubsurfaceabrasionandresultsinthedestructionofthecontinuityofthecoating.Thesetwotypesofabrasionarenotnecessarilyproportional,andsinceitisdesirabletobeabletodeterminetheresistanceofporcelainenameltobothtypesofabrasion,itisnecessarytodealwitheachoneseparately.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverdeterminationoftheresistanceofporcelainenamelstosurfaceabrasionandsubsurfaceabrasion.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
